Hi Selin!
I would recommend the island Hvar in Croatia, it's beautiful...In the summer time you have a very good night life in town Hvar at island Hvar, much better than in Split. Near the town Hvar, there are a lot of nice beaches and Hvar Island nightlife revolves around exciting Hvar Town.
Later in the night, people are gathering around many bars such as "Archie's bar", "Atelier", "Loco bar", "Kofein". If you are into some "harder" partying do not miss to visit "Nautica" and "Kiva" (party is guaranteed!), and don't forget the best cocktail bar in Croatia Carpe Diem, or "seize the day", who's round the clock programme will surely satisfy you.. :P

hi selin! I had a great time everywhere in croatia! i always preferred the south, for the sea, beaches nature...
In Pag you can have amazing nightlife, but VERY touristy. I bet you will feel like in italy there :D
I adore Mjet island, but there's basically nothing there, few restaurant and a beautiful nature and national park.
Hvar is a very popular destination as well, but check also Korcula. I never been there but a friend told be that they really know how to party hard and it's not thaaaat touristy :D
ciao!
Pretty hard to find a croatian seaplace with a good nightlife and not being too touristy at the same time. Anyway, my take would be on Baška Voda daytime and Makarska for nightlife. They're about 10 kilometers from each other, so you can enjoy both at the same time. Split's not far from there either, and it's got a pretty good nighlife and lots of summer events.
As far as food goes, it's great everywhere in Croatia (especially in the inlands, but that's my personal taste). Enjoy some great breakfasts with burek and kiselo mleko on my behalf. ;-)
Hi there!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for all your suggestions: now I am ready to rent a car to enjoy Croatian life (in a month time though!!!!!!)... cheers
